Position Summary
RealAge is seeking a creative and dynamic Deputy Editor/Producer, Health, to join our highly collaborative team to lead and manage the development of all condition-specific health content across our products - from articles and blog posts to Health Risk Assessments and quizzes to condition management and prevention Action Plans, email programs and general onsite health and conditions content. This position is based in San Diego.
The Deputy Editor/Producer, Health, will collaborate closely with a counterpart for general Wellness & Health Lifestyle and the SVP of Programming & Audience Development on strategy and a content roadmap across platforms - web, email, social, mobile - focusing on core health issues and conditions driving consumer engagement, revenue and company growth.
The content Deputy will work with multiple brand stakeholders to fulfill on crafting unique and differentiated consumer health and medical content, including the product, sales, client services and marketing teams. Candidates should be adept at staying abreast of medical research advancements and the health industry in general and comfortable translating science into consumer-friendly engaging copy. This role requires knowledge and understanding of the specific requirements and regulations by pharmaceutical clients advertising around consumer content as well as experience covering consumer health needs. We are looking for candidates with a passion for health who thrive on developing content on such topics as OAB and CMP (if you have to look those up, this position is not for you!). In addition as part of a digital brand you are expected to have an innate understanding of the ecosystem of multi-media technology, and consumers' use and consumption of online health information.
Candidates must have hands-on CMS experience and be SEO and metrics savvy, able to apply best-practice optimization techniques to content and perform metrics analysis on engagement performance to report up to management. In addition to being a top-notch writer and editor, candidates must be comfortable writing content concept briefs and project plans, and pulling together content for partnerships as well as for PR and media use.
This role manages, trains and mentors a staff Editor/Producer and freelancers, and has responsibility and accountability for delivering content that meets growth and engagement goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities, include, but not limited to, the following:
- Drives the planning, research, development, creation, optimization and metrics analysis of all health conditions content across highly integrated multimedia platforms and across multiple brand channels.
- Serves as the in-house expert on health conditions content, collaborating across the content team and working closely with the staff Chief Medical Officer in planning and developing new cutting edge and engaging health service content and tools.
- Works closely with other brand stakeholders to keep the brand at the forefront of conditions content that is highly engaging, customized/personalized and monetizable through the RealAge product suite, relevant to the brand's consumer audience and advertising clients.
- Writes and edits highly engaging and credible conditions health content for a general consumer audience.
- Stays abreast of the competitive set, providing recommendations that keep RealAge at the forefront of the customized consumer health arena through exploration and implementation of differentiated multimedia content.

About the Opportunity
We are currently looking for a Sales Marketing Coordinator to join our Sales department. This position will perform support services for the sales team. Responsibilities will include assisting in execution of sales related projects, creation of sales reports, monitoring of billing process, preparing monthly sales meeting materials, coordinating travel arrangements, maintaining department calendar and other miscellaneous administrative duties for the sales team. Primary Duties and Responsibilities
