"Nuts can theoretically get stuck in those little pouches in your colon that are indicative of diverticulosis, but nuts don't actually cause it. In fact, there's never been a case where nuts have been implicated as the perpetrator. The real culprit is not having enough fibert & water in your diet" (from YOU: THE OWNERS' MANUAL)

Persons with diverticulitis or diverticula need to be especially aware of eating peanuts or any kind of nut because small pieces can get caught and cause great irritation. I have to admit I still eat all kinds of nuts, but I also drink volumes of water, presuming that helps keep things clear and moving.

The only problems with peanuts are most people eat them salted, not good if you have to watch your salt intake; and peanuts are one of the most heavily pesticided foods.

After strugglin for years to take off weight and keep it off, I had become a little depressed. I stopped caring, or at least that's what I told myself. Recently, I decided that no matter what the weight loss results were, I was going to start living healthy again. I am not depressed anymore, and just recently received my yellow belt in Tae Kwon Do. In my former way of thinking, I could not have done this because I was just too fat. I have only lost about 4 pounds in 7 months, but I can do things I couldn't do before, like the splits. These seemingly minor accomplishments mean the world to me. Best of all I am showing my kids how to be healthy and how to overcome. That makes me want to do it even more. I guess my advice is don't look at what isn't happening, look at what is and don't give up!

Eliptical machines rock! As a Graves disease person(thyroid disease) it always seems next to impossible to lose weight. I decided to stop letting the disease be my excuse and start living again! I work out 6-8 times every week. using the eliptical as a big part along with free weights!
