I've found that a cup of chamomile tea before bed cuts most of my allergy symptoms the next day. If I forget the tea I REALLY notice a difference.

Breathing in the vapors from eucaliptus leaves put in hot water, cover head. Then take a cup of hot tea made with eucaliptus leaves honey and lemon. The sneezing stops inmediately.

The saline spray in the nostril is good year round, helps keep winter colds away.I found if you start taking Alfalfa tabs daily about 1-2 monthsbefore pollen season starts & continue taking it,your allergies will be almost non-existent.

I have eliminated all forms of sugar flour and wheat from my diet. I have joined Food Addicts Anonymous a 12 step program. We weigh our portions share our experience strength and hope. We eat whole grains fresh/frozen fruits and vegetables, lean protein and vegetable based oils. I have never felt better in my life.

Virtually all of my allergies have gone away since I stopped eating wheat and things made from (and with) yeast. Plus, as added bonuses, my fibromyalgia is only a fraction of what it was and the black smudges under my eyes (that I've had since I was a child) are greatly reduced. Research food allergies and test yourself!! Do it asap. Use elimination diets and fasts, don't rely on lab tests (like Celiac). I tested negative for Celiac 3 times.

I've had a chronic cough for 15 years and have been through all the traditional routes of medical treatment. These include changing blood pressure meds, pulmonary docs, allergists, food allergists, many over-the-counter decongestants, cough suppressants, and some herbal meds. I've tried them all and nothing has helped. I have very good health in every other way. Any insight or suggestions?

I agree with the Oil of Oregano; have used it for many things. However, I began using Quercetin about 2 years ago when I discovered these allergies. It works for me!

I HAVE FOUND ZICAM, THE WHOLISTIC NASAL GEL, ALLERGY, AND COLD FORMULAS, TO BE INCREDIBLE ADDITIONS TO MY OTC MEDS. THEY MUST BE TAKEN AS DIRECTED,HOWEVER. PEOPLE HAVE TAKEN THEM AS NASAL SPRAY AND SNIFFED THEM AND HAVE DAMAGED THEIR NASAL MEMBRANES. THE GEL REQUIRES A TINY DROP OF GEL 1/8 INCH INTO THE NOSTRIL, THEN PINCH THE NOSTRIL FOR 5 SECONDS, AND ALMOST INSTANTLY. NASAL CONGESTION IS RELIEVED. TAKE THE COLD FORMULA IMMEDIATELY WHEN YOU FEEL THE COLD COMING ON, AND YOU'LL FEEL BETTER THE NEXT DAY. I NOTICE THAT ZICAM NOW HAS FORMULAS THAT EQUAL AFRIN AND OTHER REMEDIES, BUT SINCE I'VE DISCOVERED THE WHOLISTIC FORMULA, I DON'T USE THE OTHERS.

I had used most prescription allergy meds for years with limited relief, until I read about Stinging Nettle. I have been using this for 4 years now and never felt better.

I use Oil of Oregano 1 drop split in 2 and rub it under my grand daughter's feet when she sleeps at night for allergies.
For her mom, i give her HAS (stands for ayfever, Allergy and Sinus)- she swears by it for pollen and seasonal allergies. http://www.herbalremedies.com/72.html

I don't know about butterbur, but I do know about Shaklee's alfalfa tablets. They have helped me many times. You have to megadose on them, but don't have any side affects that I'm aware of. A normal dose is 10 tabs per day. I would take up to 75 per day for the first week and then do the normal dosage. Works wonderfully well. Used it primarily during pregnancy when allergy tqabs are taboo.

Viruses and bacteria cannot live in nostrils that have been washed with saline mist. Also, they hate vitamin C. I take 1,000mg in the am and l,000 in the pm. I never have flu, colds, arthritis or any of the other things that most teachers have
