Why You Should Slice Fruit Yourself

Presliced fruit sure saves time. But here's what you'll be missing out on when you buy it: vitamin C.

Research shows that presliced fruit may have less vitamin C by the time you eat it than if you'd bought whole fruit and sliced it yourself.

18wheeler, it does not come easy when you must be on the roads all the time. My suggestions are that if you can have a small refrigerator on ur truck, load up with wholegrain bread, peanut butter, whole fruit jam, some chicken cold cuts, some fresh fruits, produce...you might find fruit stands along your ways...and of course stay as far away from those fast food stops...

I never knew that, but I guess it makes sense since most processed foods lose nutritional value.

If you have blood type A, bananas may not be good for you, and your body is telling you to avoid them because they can inhibit metabolism, and they contain lectins that may be incompatible w/ type A blood. Bananas are beneficial for people w/ type O or type B blood.

kammie, I can't stand bananas, either. I can eat banana bread,, but that's it. However, I have discovered I can eat dried banana chips (unsweetened). They have very little banana smell or taste. They are kind of tasteless, but are crunchy. I order them on the internet from a place called nuts online. I figure I am getting the benefits.

Use glass bottles for storing water. Bottled water is considered as 'dead' water.Add a tiny clove into water bottle to make it tasty and healthy, whenever you open a bottle or store water.
