The Best Place to Walk

A walk on a treadmill or a walk in the park? Either one will get you fit, but the walk in the park may make you feel a whole lot better!

Research confirms it. Exercising in a green environment puts you in a better frame of mind than working out in a sterile gym. Go figure!

The noise from headphones makes us deaf physically and dead spiritually. The sounds of nature have the opposite effect on us. It sharpens our hearing and awareness. When you are attuned with nature, 'depression' becomes a foreign word.

Walking is great, however, listening to headphone outside is DANGEROUS!! Walkers and runners need to be aware of their surroundings for their own safety! Plus, why wouldn't you want to take in all your surroundings; the green you see and the natural noises you hear? Just like strawberries don't need extra sugar sprinkled on them, walking outside doesn't need headphones. Mind over matter.

I honestly feel since I started keeping fit on a regular basis that bad moods are a thing of the past. I use both outdoor walking and treadmill I find it a good combination, 1 being natural the other a workout

Walking out in the world is what we are supposed to do! We were made to be outdoors. It refreshes mind, body, and soul. There is so much to find there.

I walk my dog and since she's a larger breed, she helps me set a faster pace and go as far as I can! She's a great walking companion for the outdoors!

I like walking in the park better much better than walking on the treadmill. There is more scenery, people to watch, fresh air, and all that. It is just so much more enjoyable. However, I do most of my walking on the treadmill. It forces me to keep a steady pace and to keep my pace up. When I walk in the park I tend to slow down to where I'm barely moving. I use the treadmill for the workout, the park for playing with my kiddos.

I walk to work at least one day a week, here in Australia, especially in the country areas, there are a lot of Rail trails, which were old railway lines.the rails have been removed, and since most are government owned, they've been turned in to walking and cycling tracks.I walk 5.5 km's one way to school [work] and it takes me just on 45 minutes.
Walking out in the fresh air, hot or cold has to be good for you!My stepson gave me his spare ipod, so I'm wired for sound for with my music.the time just flys, but having to be there by a certain time is an extra incentive. The gym is for those who want it and so is the outdoors.

The best place to walk is on College Campuses. The walkways are always well lit, cleared of snow, and if you're lucky, the terrain is very hilly. There is always lots of people traffic, most times of day or evening. And if weather is inclement, you can always duck into a building..

I had to laugh when I read that a walk in the park may be more beneficial... there's that word "may". In reality, a walk in the park leaves you open to 1) change in weather. 2) mosquito's and other biting insects. 3) roaming dogs that change your path. 4) not being able to change your attire if you become too warm. 5) in the midwest it's strictly seasonal, unless you like to walk in the snow.

A good treadmill, facing a TV, with a recording of nature path scenery (available at good exercise stores) is by far the safest, most convenient way to exercise. You just have to get off your butt and do it, same as if you were taking a walk in the park. Also, you can wear a walkman, or MP3 player, and not worry about getting blindsided by a rollerblader or skateboarder.

Remember that the word "may" actually means "has not been proven not to" and is an almost useless word.

make sure to eat your salad AFTER your lunch or dinner. That way, you'll get the fiber after your main course, which will then help push the poop out.

You'll have a cleaner wipe. If your poop doesn't float, you aren't getting enough fiber.

That always puts me in a good mood? Nothing like a clean pucker.

In my experience 99% of bedwetting is caused by anxiety, remove the anxiety and you stop the bedwetting. There is no need for long winded nocturnal bells and whistle which are more likely to increase anxiety.

A simple 7day story technique can be found by googling 'magic garden bedwetting' . It was initially devised to calm exam nerves but is equally good for bedwetters..
