All About YOU: Be Psylly to Save Bathroom Time

If your bathroom has become the place where you get your reading done, it's time for a spoonful of psyllium.

Psyllium -- pronounced "silly-um" -- is a fiber supplement made from a Mediterranean plantain. A daily dose helps keep things moving right along.

At my cafe I offer smoothies with fiber flax is really good as is an apple. Be aware of psyllium because if you use too much or too often without enough liquid it will actually constipate you. The ABSOLUTE best bowel clense is 1 apple and 2 tbl flax and 2 cups of water in the blender for 30 sec and then 30 sec more and drink it down. The pectin in the apple is the secret.

I have a "Fiber one" bar for breakfast (which is delicious!), and in the afternoon (or lunch) I snack on 6 or 7 "lo-fat" triscuits. This has really increased my fiber.

Cereal for breakfast, with fruit, a salad per day and yogurt daily will definitely keep one regular!

I hate drinking plain water so someone suggested to put a little 100% juice to give it color and just a hint of flavor. It worked for me, I don't mind drinking water anymore. I refuse to buy flavored water with all the junk they put in it, I don'e even drink bottle water anymore. too many articles of what they are finding in it. I filter all my water. I also have been eating fruit and veggies every day. I just stopped working so now I take the time to proper meals, what a difference.

It bothers me that these guys wear the title of "doctor" and thus get more respect for their "tips", and then spread poison to the readers. The editors choice mentions organic psyllium, but the body of their recommendation mentions Metamucil, which is loaded with chemical pesticides as it is harvested in third world countries. Doctors telling you to consume DDT, which has been outlawed in the US, imagine that. AMA Doctors are promoting disease, as they are in the disease treatment business, whereas I am in the wellness business. DMMC and the editor's tip are the only saving graces to this promotion of disease......guess they sleep ok with all that dough they make. Sad.

Every day I eat one of those steamable bags of cruciferous veggies from the freezer aisle...they have 4 servings per bag, and if you sprinkle a tiny bit of garlic salt on the veggies after you steam them in the microwave, they taste AWESOME!! Oh, Granny Smith apples also seem to have alot of fiber in them, and they taste superb!

Glucerna chocolate shake gives me the solution for my chocolate cravings. It doesn't spike your sugar and gives you satisfaction for a quick snack. Keep it in an insulated bag with a frozen polar pack and great for travel too. Get sugarfree, fat free icecream and pour a shake drink over it and a fantastic milkshake. I find it too sweet for cereal.
