I've been taking a class called stretch and strenghten, and the instructor says some of the moves are yoga. I had toe surgery yesterday, and I am so afraid that I will lose some of the strength that I have gained. I have a bad knee, and lumbar stenosis, so I have to be careful, but these classes have really helped me. I feel any type of exercise must be good for the body and soul.

bhujangasan(serpent pose) is my favourite pose, as it gives instant energy by regularising blood circulation in the whole body.Hence,it improves the body posture and adds glow to our face.

I have found Yoga is helpful to counteract the effects of
Osteoporosis. Stretching and gentle twisting seem to
strengthen back, arm and shoulder muscles which aid
in standing up straighter.

"Downward facing dog" pose is my favorite because of the increased blood flow to my brain and improved upper body strength. It also helps to relieve my low back pain.

even when you are in your laziest form...just resist sitting down. Go walking..call a friend and go do something active and fun. Just remember sitting down will make you feel even more tierd.Just try it once ;)

I recently started doing Yoga once or twice a week. I already feel more flexible! Please tell me more about lyengar yoga. I have not even heard this term before. Is it something "Seniors" could do? Is there a website where I can learn more? Thanks!

I forgot to add that when you dothese Yoga stretches and breathing, its also clearing your mind, relaxing your muscles and giving you calm energy most of the day, and if you feel you're getting stressed again, you can go through the exercises again. It's really one of the best exercises I've ever done.

When I first started doing yoga last year, I had already had anxiety and panic attacks for about 25 years.I do candlelight yoga and all it is
is breathing into the streches and working(stretches)every muscle in the body.Wow what a difference,It only take about 15-20 minutes and I feel calm energy most of the day.It deffinately changed the way I deal with anxiety.I love Yoga,It really changed my life.

Can you outline what the 5Rites or Fountain of Youth consist of? Please speak about the ginger in tea or meals... Sounds interesting.
