I sauté mushrooms and add egg. I love mushroom omelet, I cannot eat it any other way.

I know a guy whose signature dish is stuffed mushrooms. He browns sausage, mixes it with cream cheese so there is more cream cheese than sausage, stuffs medium to large mushrooms and bakes. This is not good for you and once you eat one you can't stop until they are gone.

So is you ever see these, don't even taste it!

Mushrooms are very healthy and definite immune bldrs, try the Chinese ones, like Shitake, you can buy them in the reg. market, they
have been written up in the Ming dynasty for thousands of years as
a healing food, can also buy in caps

Take 1 teaspoon of butter (yes, I said butter - it's not that much and makes a difference) and heat over low flame until melted. Add 1/4 cup of chopped onion, clove of garlic finely minced. Once they start sautéing add 1/4 cup water and bring to a boil. Stir frequently. Once the onion is soft add your mushrooms and mix in. cover and simmer on low heat for 5 - 7 minutes. Enjoy!

I thought mushrooms had to be cooked and have avoided eating then raw. I thought they had a poison that cooking destroyed. Don't know where I got this idea. Has anyone else eaten this way?
