Two More Drinks for Artery Health

Hot green tea with either a splash of pomegranate juice or cranberry juice is surprisingly good - it is an acquired taste......and kills two birds!

There are some recent studies that have come out that show that there are other drinks that 'count' as your 8 glasses of water for the day. I seem to recall two of them being tea and milk. This is good news, because with all these glasses of wine, juice, water, milk, tea and coffee I'm supposed to be drinking everyday they might as well stick an IV in me. :)

I keep tea bags in my purse, at work, and in sight at home so that I can develop the habit of drinking it instead of 3 to 4 cups of coffee a day.

I start of my day by drinking a mug of any blend of green tea, in place of coffee. Then eat a small bowl of oatmeal or whole grain cereal for breakfast. It is my habit now but I love it.

Carrrot juice after a workout is really refreshing. After juicing I add water to the pulp which provides me with additional juice. It beats plain water and provides the valuable nutrients .

Try this one for perks. 1 part ampalaya or bitter gourd, 1 part pipino or cucumber and 1 part pinya or pineapple. Put into juicer and drink the juice in between meals or before a meal. Please consume within 30 minutes. This will surely lower your sugar level and an energy drink. And most of all, mix the residue or fibrous leftover with flour and seasoning and fry in oil. Voila, instant patties.

Exercise is the key!! Greatly improves my mood and perception of daily challenges, and I totally agree that it does decrease your appetite or at least it keeps me too busy to put more food in my mouth!!

We are also hooked on Monavie, the proprietary blend of 19 fruits, featuring the Brazilian Acai Berry as the primary ingredient. Everyone seems to have different experiences with nutritional products, and we have tried many of them, but Monavie is the only one that has delivered actual results for us, and in a relatively short period of time. The 4 oz daily serving has the antioxidant equivalent of 10-13 servings of fruits and vegetables and has great anti-inflammatory properties, something we have never been able to accomplish with the best diet menus. I drink a blend of acai, apricot, purple grape, passion fruit, camu camu, banana, lychee fruit, kiwi, wolfberry, pomegranate, prune, cranberry, apply, bilberry, pear, buleberry, and white grape...I do not know what most of these fruits taste by themselves, however together in Monavie it has a unique and delicious taste mymonavie.com/livemvlife

For a picker-upper, try adding cranberry juice to your iced tea. experiment to find the percentage that fits you the best.
