Is There a Program I Can Start While Recovering from Lung Cancer Surgery and/or Treatment?
Building up strength and stamina is key in the recovery from lung cancer surgery and treatment. Before beginning any exercises, be sure to check with your doctor or pulmonary specialist first. At the start of your program you may be capable of completing only one or two exercises. Throughout the weeks, try to add additional repetitions to your program as you gain more strength.
Belly Breathing and Arm Raises are good exercises to do while you're confined to a bed.
If you can sit up in a chair, try the Sideward Arm Raise or the Knee Touch.
If you are able to stand for 5-10 minutes at a time, try the Finger Walk.
