"Sleep has a big effect on how you feel and can have an effect on your RealAge, as well," says RealAge Chief Medical Officer Keith Roach, M.D. Because slumber has an impact on everything from your weight to your mood, it's a key factor in the RealAge 2012 Youngest & Oldest Cities Report. "Although most of our test-takers don't get enough sleep, too much sleep is actually worse for your health," says Roach. The ideal: 7-8 hours of slumber every night. That can make your RealAge up to 1.5 years younger. Is your city helping you get a good night's sleep or keeping you awake?
