Some people cannot tolerate the thought of having any cancer in their body. They would want to know as early as possible, so they could get it removed immediately. For them more aggressive screening and treatment would be the best choice. But other men -- upon learning that most men develop some cancerous cells in their prostate, if they live long enough, but that these cells will likely never cause problems -- may choose not to know about it.
