Are herbal remedies the same as homeopathic remedies?

Herbal tradition precedes the invention of homeopathy by many millennia. Homeopathy is a system of treatments developed in the early nineteenth century in which remedies are used that can produce the same symptoms in healthy persons as the disease causes in patients. These remedies contain drugs in extremely small amounts. Although herbal remedies can be used as homeopathic remedies, they are not the same.
