Take it step by step. Use these stop-smoking tips to see you through your quit-smoking day -- and beyond!

If you've done the month of prep work -- and you do need a month -- you're ready to stop smoking.
It's Quit-Smoking Day -- Day 32
Today's the day you've been working and walking toward. So come on, let's make it happen:
1. Take one bupropion tablet in the morning.
2. QUIT. Throw away all your cigarettes, and get rid of all ashtrays and any other smoking-related objects.
3. Put on a nicotine patch. Place one on your arm, chest, or thigh (you'll be doing this daily for a while).
4. Go for a walk.

Your Daily To-Do List for the Next 28 Days
- Take two. Starting on day 33, increase your bupropion to two tablets a day -- one in the morning and another in the evening.
- Patch up. Put on a new nicotine patch every day. (And don't forget to take the old one off.)
- Keep walking. Every day for 30 minutes. Here's how to mix it up and stay motivated.
- Reach out. Check in with your quit buddy.
- Drink up. Have as much water, tea, or coffee as you wish.
- Relax. If you find yourself tensing up, use this 1-minute relaxation technique to keep yourself calm and in control.
