4 Ways to Get Past the 2-Week Point
- When you crave a cigarette, remember that it only lasts a few seconds.
- If that's not enough, distract yourself. If that's not enough, leave the situation that's triggering the urge to smoke.
- Each time the desire to smoke passes, give yourself a pat on the back for your progress in breaking the habit forever.
- Save the money you would have spent on cigarettes in a special fund; use it to buy yourself something nice, like new walking shoes.
